Harvest season is upon us! This is my absolute favorite time of year; a time when the air begins to get slightly cooler and when local crops are bountiful. There is nothing better than the rich flavors of farm fresh veggies in the Summer and early Fall. My husband and I are lucky enough to get a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share every year. When pick up day comes each week, we are like little kids – excited to see which veggies we will receive and brainstorming the types of recipes we want to experiment with.
What better way to honor this plentiful time of year than to gather your closest friends together to enjoy delicious fresh food and great conversation? Aspen event designer and coordinator, Virginia Edelson of Bluebird Productions did just that: “We designed this festive fete as inspiration for a fun friends dinner, a small rehearsal dinner or just a great way to celebrate the bounties of the summer season. Fresh flowers, beautiful place settings, delicious local food and yummy cocktails set the perfect tone to kick back and relax with your besties. We believe that every detail should be attended to and once in place, the real party begins with amazing conversation and everlasting memories.”

This strangely still pause between summer and autumn, greenery and gold, and the heat and rising wind that is once again readying itself to rush it all away in a climactic symphony of color and scent is – in my opinion, one of the best parts about living on earth. Author, Victoria Erickson
