This joint birthday party has glamorous fun written all over it! From the bubbly bar display to the delicious brunch eats by City Catering Company and beautiful peony floral arrangements by Floressence, BreeAnn Gale of Pink Blossom Events pulled out all the stops when planning this husband-wife birthday gathering. The color palette of pink, turquoise and gold works nicely against the couple’s stylish home decor.

“The birthday was for both Rich & Reena”, says BreeAnne, “Rich’s birthday was the day of the party and Reena’s was just a few days shy. They wanted to host an intimate brunch for their good friends and just enjoy the day! Reena loves pink so we made sure to incorporate her favorite color. Reena reached out to me two weeks before her party and mentioned wanting a nice brunch party for her and her husband’s birthdays with brunch on the menu! After speaking with Reena on what she wanted from the party we set out to make it a brunch to remember! “

This refreshment bar couldn’t be prettier or more inviting; the long countertop provides ample space for guests to help themselves and the golden signage and garland add a festive touch.

Rich and Reena steal a moment before the festivities begin… and their cute pup does too…

BreeAnn’s favorite details?

“I loved the mini brunch bites and also the espresso cart we designed that featured both Bailey’s and Kahlua. The guests also loved the welcome champagne cocktail which featured a cotton candy garnish.”

The star sparklers make fun unique toppers for the cupcakes and let’s be honest, are WAY more fun to try to blow out than ordinary candles.

Macarons (from Lady Yum) make the perfect sweet treat for guest favors and when they come in a pretty package – even better!

Pro Tip:

Create something that is you. When designing something I start by asking my clients about their hobbies, food likes and dislikes and a general sense of what colors and style they gravitate towards. From there you are able to plan an event that you are inspired to create and host. BreeAnn Gale

It is clear that BreeAnn threw Rich and Reena a birthday party that reflects their chic sense of style. This festive brunch will surely be a party that they will remember for years to come!

Bio:

People often ask me why I got into the wedding and event planning business. The answer is simple: I am obsessed with planning events! I grew up planning vacations and parties for friends and family and never realized it could be something I could do for a living. One day in college, it dawned on me, I really could turn my passion into a career. That is when Pink Blossom Events was born.

Since 2006 I have been helping my clients turn their dreams into a reality. Whether it is a small seaside ceremony or a surprise fortieth birthday party, I am there to see that every detail is fulfilled. Once in a while I have to pinch myself knowing that I am able to spend my days making people’s ideas come to life.

What started as a passion for planning vacations and parties for friends and family has turned into a career. I would be thrilled to help you plan your next event!

What is your entertaining philosophy?
Create an experience. You want guests to leave an event with a memory from the event that will last for years to come. Perhaps adding in an interactive element whether it be the food or an activity they partake in? We don't often remember details of the event if it was average but we do remember events that had that unique touch or experiential element. Of course you don't want to add in too many elements into your event as you want your guests to be relaxed and completely enjoying the evening without having to worry about too much going on around them.
What are some expert design & entertaining tips you can give us?
Simple is better. Choose a small handful of elements and ideas you want to include in the event/evening and not every idea you've been wanting to do at once. There are always more entertaining opportunities in the future but incorporating just a few ideas into one event at a time will give you a focus and direction of the event.

Plan ahead! Waiting until the last minute will leave you stressed and frantic, not being able to truly enjoy your guests. Prepare as much as you can before so on the day of the event you are not scrambling.
