Whether you’re entertaining this holiday season or just looking for some decor ideas, these 2 different takes on mantle and tablescape design are sure to inspire! Using winter foliage and accent flowers from AFloral, Floral and Event Designer Audrey Chaney of Botanica Events beautifully created a contemporary and a rustic option that are both majorly swoon-worthy!

“The holidays are my favorite time of the year – entertaining, baking, spending time with family and friends”, says Audrey. And – the decor! Who doesn’t love decking their home out and making it super cozy? Getting to work with some of the new Winter-inspired foliages and accent pieces from AFloral’s collection surely brought the Winter spirit into my home.

“To dress up the mantle, I chose mixed elements of wood candleholders I placed blooms in, metallic votives and geometric vessels with magnolia blooms. The pinecone wreath was easy to dress up with more white magnolia, flocked branches and metallic leaves. Simple and stunning!”

“It can be so simple to create a beautiful table centerpiece mixing foliages, metallic candles and a few blooms! I created this look by layering foliage and flowers – working around placesettings. Adding candles to your table design always adds some movement and flickering candlelight. The perfect finishing touch!”

“Each place setting was garnished with a sprig of cedar to make the place setting extra special!”

“Mixing the look up, the mantle was transformed with an all foliage garland, tin accents and antlers for a more rustic look. For the table setting on this look, things were kept simple – foliages and textures with the fur pointsettias and white berries with pinecone accents.”

“A natural swag was a fun addition to the chair back for an interesting touch.”

Imagine if you dressed up each of your guests chairs, and they got to each take a swag home with them from your holiday party? Love it! Audrey Chaney

Meet the designer Audrey Chaney of Botanica Events
Bio:

ABOUT
Hi! I’m Audrey Chaney, AIFD.  I am a serial entrepreneur with a background in design and a passion for creating successful businesses.  I have been in the design industry since 2000, and have run and operated a small business since 2007.  My unique take on aesthetics, business marketing and systems and processes has been a journey that has taken me and my life on a very exciting adventure.

MY BUSINESS JOURNEY
As I mentioned, I have been in the design world over 15 years and have been a business owner for over 10 years.  I own Botanica Events, Inc. which specialized in wedding and event floral design and specialty rentals.  Starting in 2018 I will no longer be booking events within the wedding and event world, but rather I am moving out of this space and have been called to consult other businesses with their business in marketing and social media.  I found much success in this area within my business creating systems and tools to streamline and make my business efficient, profitable and sought after.  Within the last 5 years, I have also transitioned to the home-space.  I am a CA Realtor – Audrey Chaney Real Estatewith Realty ONE Group, and have paired my design and marketing strengths to help clients buy and sell homes.  I believe an organized, customer service approach that is systematized ensures a smooth and stress-free process.

MEDIA
My design work and business has been featured on countless National and International blogs, print, and television.  Some of these include:  WE TV’s Platinum Weddings, TLC’s Married by Mom + Dad, Style Me Pretty, South Asian Bride Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, Tahoe Unveiled, Hochzeitsguide, Green Wedding Shoes, The Knot, and more!  I was named in 2017 as one of the Top 30 Under 30 by Florist Review Magazine.

BIOGRAPHY
My love of design started at a young age.  I was the child always changing around her room + creating craft projects.  I became very involved in the floral design world, getting a degree in Horticulture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Upon graduating from college, I started my wedding business specializing in floral design at the time.  Having fulfilled many personal and professional accomplishments, my passion of designing flowers shifted, and launched a specialty rental business that has grown to be very successful and sought after.  I now am taking my journey of utilizing different mediums to help clients in their home search and lifestyle design.
